WHERE IS MY BOY?

On this VETERAN’S DAY, the 11th of November, In The Year of Our Lord, 2023, I would like to lift up my hands towards heaven and say, “Ah, Lord God of all Heaven & Earth, we beseech you as One Nation Under God; Pour out Your Spirit upon us! Bless this Great Nation with Repentance & Restoration!  …and REMEMBER ALL THOSE WHO HAVE LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES FOR FREEDOM, FOR THOSE WHO HAVE GONE ON BEFORE US, AND FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE STILL HERE.  God bless every mother, every father, every son & every daughter, every brother & every sister who, on these shores and across the great seas have had loved ones who have stood in harm’s way for the Greatest Nation on Earth, The UNITED STATES of AMERICA  GOD BLESS US ONE AND ALL!!! That we might ONE & ALL Stand for WHAT IS RIGHT, AND GOOD, AND HONEST, AND JUST….and let us NEVER FORGET that it is YOU, Lord, Who first gave Your ALL for us!

WHERE IS MY BOY?

You’ve been in that strange deadly land for too long,

Mama says she wished you’d come home.

Daddy don’t say much about it at all,

He had a war of his own.

And the wind off the river that runs by my grave

Carries voices from a strange distant land,

And the tears in mom’s eyes say “Where Is My Boy”,

Daddy just goes out, lights up a smoke

and says, Son, weren’t it worth fightin’ for!?!

We fought the good fight, the good fight we fought,

Now some of the living are dead,

Those that gave all are living somewhere,

And FREEDOM lives here in their stead.

And the wind off the river that runs by my grave

Carries voices from a strange distant land,

And the tears in mom’s eyes say “Where Is My Boy”,

Daddy just goes out, lights up a smoke

and says, Son, weren’t it worth fightin’ for!?!

Down by the Still Waters, I have laid down my soul

For this land that I love and fought for.

Dictators and tyrants may all go to hell,

I’m goin’ out for a walk with the Lord

In this land that I love and fought for.

I’m goin’ out for a walk with the Lord

In this land that I love and fought for.
